Is spanish in Spain the same as the spanish in Colombia and the other South American Countries?

No it isn't exactly the same. Most word meanings and vocabulary are the same, but there are some pronunciation and local word meaning differences. Some of the Latin American Spanish even has some English words mixed in it, but If you speak Castilian Spanish you will be just fine. Wikapedia has a pretty good article on some of the differences.
