Since Mesopotamia is thousands of years older than America, can the Iraqi's lord it over Americans?

We are mistaken to think we are inherently superior to them. We are luckier, mainly because the people who wrote the constitution established a system of checks and balances which worked fairly well, until people discovered they could vote themselves benefits, at the expense of others.
