What is the english pronunciation of the Japenese name, Kensuke?

Our 3rd grade boys book club is reading, Kensuke's Kingdom, by Michael Morpurgo. We're wondering how to pronounce the name Kensuke. Is it three syllables? Which vowels are short or long? And where do we put the accent? Thanks for any help you can give us!
