Why does it seem girls dont want relationships or is it me

every girl i date in college and i know is attracted to seems to just want to have fun. i am new to this and never dated people in highschool so i may be misreading them. but every girl seems to want to make out and have on the first date. they get really touch and then when i slow it down to a comfortable level. by the next date they loose interest and then by the third date they tell me they just dont want a relationship with anyone and just want to be friends. do these girls want to just have fun with no commitment. or am i just to slow for most girls to have a connection with me. it seems to uncomfortable to go that fast for me. is it me or do these girl just not want a relationship and just want to have fun. will i be able to tell if a girl wants a relationship and not just . like they will go slower on the first date and not like get extremely touch and make out and touch me in that area and stuff on the first date so they dont seem promiscuous. or is that how all girls are even if they want a relationship and how can i tell the difference then if thats how all girls are?
