Thin hair woes?

I've decided to stop trying to fight the forces of nature- I have thin, pencil straight hair that couldn't hold curl if it's life depended on it. I'm sick of having bad hair days because I've spent so much time fighting an uphill battle trying to make my hair something it's not. I have longer, dark brown, pin-straight fine hair. Does anyone know any great styling tips for hair like mine? Any good products that I can buy at a place like Walmart? I wash my hair everyday (or else I can't wear it down..it gets greasy and crooked fast!) and I blow dry with mousse. I just want something that will work WITH my hair instead of against so I can be proud of what I got!

Dry poop and mucus when I wipe?

I've been having this problem for about two months. I've been constipated and my poop has been very dry. I haven't had this problem ever in my life and haven't changed my diet or exercise in any way. When I poop, it is very difficult to push it out, and it comes out in little pebble shaped blocks. Sometimes when I wipe, there's a mucus in the tissue that looks like I blew my nose. When I lived out of state I was exempt from paying state taxes for being stationed out of state( I filed federal though) Now Im having to go through all my tax paperwork and I am attaching a letter to the letter they sent me with a copy of my return, W2, and the exact reason these sh*theads cant find my information for that year. I dont know why you had the problems that you did with yours but send them a letter stating you did not live here in 2005 and if you paid taxes in Texas for that year screw California you dont owe this state a f*ckin dime for that year. You know, over the years I have became really cynical towards my own government, and I have every reason to. I love my country and plan on serving it once I graduate. I've always wondered why people get so upset about death, especially when they are religious (unlike me)... don't religious people feel they have a place in a Heaven for them? So many other cultures celebrate life, not mourn death like us... which makes people fall into depression and even suicide.. How can you be sad if say your parents died, but you honestly, have no clue what happens when you die. You could be a Jesus Loving Bible Craving Christian and you still have no clue what "death" is, we never will know... So why do people act like it's the end of the world when a close one dies? Is it out of involuntary selfishness that people act the way they do when someone close to them dies?

What is going on with my raspberry plant?

I have three separate raspberry plants that I have taken good care of this year. Since the hot summer hit us, the leaves have died back. Now they are starting to gow back from the buds. The two outside plants are looking great, but the middle one is wilting, as if it is about to die. I have watered them all the same and they all get the same amount of sunlight. Son driving dangerously?

Don't let him take the kids out in his car. To be honest the most dangerous part would be not following the speed limits. I wouldn't drive like that, but I'm guessing he knows what he is doing. Oh and it wouldn't be skidding is my guess, it's DRIFTING and if you know what you are doing it isn't that dangerous, still dangerous because you still risk losing control. You are also talking about a car that may have been designed to run at those speeds, I'm going by company since you are listing the car, so running it at 140 isn't that dangerous in a straight line.

first of all I Love your curly hair!! I have naturally curly hair my self but layered which I find works better than all one length b/c it gives it some volume and style. however, if you want bangs will you be straightening your hair every day? That is something important to consider b/c when your hair is curly it will be a lot shorter with the bangs. if you want bangs you would have to blow dry everyday. if you are OK with that then i think it would look great! go for it.

Skin cancer????????!!!!!!?

I had a mole, on the right upper side of my face. It was kinda triangle shaped, almost like a heart, and it was brown. It was raised a little bit and the skin around it was raised. (the mole was a little bit smaller then the whole raised area) I would pick at it alittle bit, and ones, the color of it came off, but then it came back. It came back alittle darker. I had it laser removed a last sumer, and there is only a scar left. Could it still be cancerous if the color hasnt come back? Should I get it checked out? Im only 15, so Im really scared. I have had some swollen lymph nodes under my arms that have gone away with this cream, and I heard that swollen lyph nodes are in severe melanoma that has spreead. But if it has spread, wouldnt my white blood cell be sky rocket?(I got my blood work done recently, my white blood cell count was fine) I mean I feel TOTALLY normal, and my scar doesnt hurt(its a little bit risen) so...What do you think?

Doctors can't seem to help my mom, anyone have any thoughts?

So this is kind of a long story, but several years ago my mom was having this terrible time eating, she would violently vomit, and be in excruciating pain. The doctors thought it was her gall bladder and had it removed, which seemed to stop the problems. A couple years later it started happening again, and they found a left over gall stone somehow floating around (even though she was gall bladder-less). They removed this, but the problems persisted, she eventually lost 60lbs because she was unable to keep anything down, and could barely get out of bed. The doctors then umed she had "Sphincter of Odie" and proceeded to surgically cut the bile duct I believe to relieve some of her symptoms. When her pain continued she found a new doctor who determined that the operation had given her chronic pancreatitus, and she had internal shingles, on her pancreas and stomach, and that each operation or surgical procedure done would most likely cause the spreading of her shingles. Now, years later, after stabelizing somewhat, she found out that most (if not all) of her hormone levels were very low, and had to get a historectomy. since then, her joints have begun aching terribly, and she is on an insanely high dose of vitamin D in hopes of correcting it. She takes multiple meds for her problems, but the doctors say none would cause her joints to hurt like this. She has trouble walking, and moving around normally, and is now also having trouble breathing. She just went to the hospital the other day and found out that the CO2 levels in her body have been steadily increasing, while the O2 levels have been steadily decreasing. She can't catch her breath, but since her O2 levels are at 94% the doctors aren't worried (because they say it should be below 92% in order to worry). She got a chest x-ray and everything in her lungs looks clear, and doctors are pretty much writing it off. Now, personally, I think her body isn't absorbing things like it should, and I don't know what part of the body is responsible for the absorption of chemicals in the body, but clearly there's something wrong with it. doctor's can't seem to figure it out and don't seem that interested since she hasn't gone in to a coma yet (soo annoying). But i'm only 20 years old, and am trying to move out of her house, and with all these health problems (seemingly getting more and more serious) I'm starting to feel like I should stay here and take care of her in case this really IS something serious. I'm sorry for the essay, but if ANYONE has any thoughts, or suggestions as to a doctor who works on specialty cases, PLEASE LET ME KNOW

Unless you are from Marengo, Illinois and have no access to stores, you should cut down on the store visits. The prices in NYC are very high and you can find cheaper prices for the same stuff at home. You guys really sound like typical tourists. New Yorkers go to Modell's (Gotta go to Mo's!) for cheaper (but not dirt cheap athletic shoes and clothes). You need to have a Nathan's hot dog-- not horribly expensive and a NY tradition. You can also try the different hot and fresh bagels at "Chock Full of Nuts"-- they also have great coffee. Like pizza? Many, many choices-- NYers were eating pizza long before it caught on in the rest of the US in the 1970s. The Statue of Liberty and Empire State Bldg are good choices. BTW, Ulysses S. Grant is buried in NY and you might visit his mausoleum if you like Civil War attractions. It would also be nice to remember this past President, as well. Like sports? See a Mets or Yankees ball game. Ppl watching is a fun, free activity. New York's young women are among the best dressed in the world. If you are a girl, you might get some fashion ideas. Guys, not so much-- they just wear shirts and pants and jackets like guys everywhere.

What can a high school vegetarian pack in her school lunch?

Mmk so i've vegetarian for a year now, im 14, just started high school. My school district is the worst around probably, and has nothing on the school lunch menus for vegetarians except for cheese pizzas. Plus they shortened our lunch time from 55 minutes to 35, so getting lunch is even harder. I want to pack my lunch but what is they to pack? PB and J is okay for the first two days but i dont plan on eating it everyday. To make things worse, I'm a picky eater. I know a lot of you are going to say im vegetarian i should eat more foods but obviously thats not going to happen overnight. So until then, what can i pack? Something that doesnt need a microwave please. I dont like tomatoes, onions, or anything even close to spicy. I know salads an option but i really only like Caesar which will make me sick of eating it for everyday. I love the fake meat products but those often need to be warmed up. Hi there. First off, let me say that I don't want hate comments, or people saying I'm stupid for considering to do it. I'm a mature individual, and I can make my own decisions. I want to experiment with this drug for spiritual enlightenment, not to get "f*cked up". So, for a few months now I've been planning on trying Ecstasy. I have a deep, chest, bronchitis sounding cough. The phlegm produced is thick and dark yellow to greenish. I have a runny nose, but am not really sneezing. There is pressure in my chest, and I am having difficulty breathing. I don't sleep well b/c I am coughing so hard, and occasionally have coughed up blood and/or vomited due to the intensity. I have pressure in the area behind/around my eyes and nose. Also, I had these symptoms a while back, and thought it was just the common cold. It has been on and off for about 1 1/2 months. How do I calm train my German Shepherd better?

He is 2 1/2, and a wonderful dog around our family. He listens very well inside the house. But whenever company comes over, he has to be put in another room with the door closed, or put outside on a line bc she jumps up on everyone, and barks, and is just way too excited. We did puppy training with him, reinforcing good behavior with food, etc, but when company comes, he just doesn't care, he can't help himself. Also, if/when he ever gets a chance, if the door is slightly open, he takes off, and does NOT listen well outside at all. He has been captured by animal control 3 times now, but if he's not caught, he does always come home. Question about BBQ oysters and how to prepare them?

You can buy them in the shell or in a container already shucked (shells removed) at any fish market. If the recipe calls for cooking out of the shell, just buy the container thats already cleaned. An oyster shucking knife is basically a short blade very dull two sided dagger. You can shuck them uncooked or roast them on the grill till the shell separates, they're pretty much done when the shell opens a little. To shuck (open) them, you hold the oyster tight, push the point of the knife into the back joint of the shell while twisting the blade gently back and forth. It can be dangerous if you've never done it. You can cut yourself on the knife or on the shell. If the recipe just calls for the "meat" of the oyster, just buy the shelled oysters. Its totally worth the extra cost to save the work. If they're cooked on the half shell, whoever helps you at the fish market can give you advice on how to shuck them.

at the title suggests, i live in Alabama. to be more specific, i live in the eastern most region of the state. as far as i know region is important in determining species. my brother's were cleaning out an old hamster cage and what appeared to be a very dark black spider that had taken residence in the wooden castle in the cage. after hitting it with as much poison as i could find it curled up and presumably died. i got a pencil and moved its legs. no red hour gl to be found. it also had very subtle brown spots on its back that were barely noticable from any more than a foot away. as far as we knew it was a black widow until after killing it. i dont like spiders and these things plague my basement during the summer to the point were i dont feel safe down there at all. if anyone could identify it, that would be greatly appreciated. thanks in advance

Mums make most decisions, fathers have little choice?

My husband said this to me last night - that really, mums make most of the decisions regarding children, and that fathers have very little say. I disagreed, and said that everything we'd decided for our daughter, we'd decided together. He said, 'but if I'd told you I disagreed with feeding, and wanted you to formula feed, would you have done it?' - to which I said, well unless there was a valid reason then no, as it's what is clearly best for her. He then said about dummies/pacifiers - we'd disagreed about this when she was born (she is now a year) - I said I didn't want to use one as she didn't need it, coud damage teeth, slow down speech, would drop out and need to be replaced at night etc He went out and bought one anyway, and would put it in her mouth whenever she made a peep when he was watching her. I refused to use it as he has never ever got up at night, so the way I saw it - if I was the one getting up at night, then I should decide about the dummy/pacifier at night as I was the one getting up to put it back in so he sees it that I made the decision about that. He then used the example of smacking, which he knows I strongly disagree and before we had our daughter, he said he disagreed with it too. He has now decided that he agrees with it, and said that if our daughter has a tantrum when she is a little older, he won't hesitate to smack her. Or, if she falls over, and cries for what he feels is too long, then he will smack her and tell her to be quiet. Same for if she won't eat a meal, he says he will smack her. I said if he treated her like that, then i would leave him - to which he said, 'well that just proves it has to be your way or no way.' Do you agree with him, do you think mums get to make all the decisions and dads have to go along with it? I don't see that me saying I'd leave if he beat her as unreasonable, but he sees it as controlling and blackmail! What do you think?

I was told to bring a list of things I feel would resolve my issues with my last employer. The mediator suggested things like compensation, letter of reference from the former employer, request any negative comments removed from my personnel file, get job back etc. I do not want my job back, I shouldn't have any negative comments in my personnel files as there was no wrong doing on my part and for the 2 years I was there I never received a performance write up so I'm not worried about that. I don't want to return to that job to much water under the bridge but I don't want them to bad mouth me to a new employer or say I'm not re-hireable or something. been on meth 30 mgs for 8 yrs. stopped 5 days ago .dr has me using roxicodone 15 mgs to tolorate the w/d's . tonight I am to stop my last roxi 15 at 10 PM and then go to Dr. at ( am to be put on subs.at that time i will have had no meth in 120 hrs. and no roxi's for 10 hrs . it has been very tolerable but today is a bit rougher that the past days. My question is if I take a 30 mg roxi will it also be out in the same time a 15 mg roxi would?? does the mgs matter or is it the time without that is important? dont want precipitated w/d's after coming this far. any advice from someone with experience in this matter would be greatly appreciated.
